Seems like Mother Nature just doesn't want to give Long Islander's a break. There is so much shoreline erosion....we might not have any beaches to enjoy this summer. With their big trucks and tons of sand, the town cannot replenish what is being swept into the ocean quick enough to restore what we once called Smith Point Beach.

Mother Nature vs. The South Shore
Seems like Mother Nature just doesn't want to give Long Islander's a break. There is so much shoreline erosion....we might not have any beaches to enjoy this summer. Rain, Rain, Go Away.....NOW!
Will the rain ever stop? I would love to go outside today and take photos of people running to their cars in supermarket parking lots with their umbrella's bending in ways they thought were impossible. I envision my camera lens being drawn to the cute little kid that insists on taking a big leap into the largest puddle they can find. But today, I intend to stay inside and feel comfort knowing that I don't have to attempt to miss each raindrop as they pelt me on my head. And I will be avoiding the task of covering my camera in fear that it will fall victim to what we Long Islander's call "April Showers."
