I thought I'd try something new so I hosted a teen photo shoot party. The girls had a great time getting their hair and make-up done and loved having their photo taken. At first, I thought I'd be dealing with a bunch of shy teens, but it turns out that they were all a bunch of hams. We had a lot of fun!

Little Squirrel
This shy little squirrel tried desperately to sneak down the tree to grab a cashew that I threw on the ground for him.

Fire Island
Fire Island is amazing. The beaches, the fishing boats, the wildlife....it's all here for everyone to enjoy!

So many photos, so little time.
Wow. I thought that creating a blog and actually keeping up with it would be an easy task. My goal was to write a blurb and post a few photos each day but as you can see, that hasn't happened. I never realized that I truly lead a busy life. Well, in any event, I want to post this video montage of photos that I recently snapped of waterviews on Long Island. My son is singing the song that goes with the photos. I wish he would record more songs because I have about 10,000 images that I can make endless video montages.
I am getting prepared to do another teen photo shoot. That's always fun! The kids really enjoy themselves.
Enjoy the video and don't be shy....drop me a line.

Bright Sunny Day

Finally, a day without rain! I was so happy to be outside taking photos in the bright sunshine. It was even warm enough to wear shorts. Although the Atlantic Ocean was a brisk 41 degrees, people didn't mind running through the water where the ocean meets the sand. I am so looking forward to summer. I promise that I won't complain that it's too hot when it reaches 90 degrees.

Mother Nature vs. The South Shore

Seems like Mother Nature just doesn't want to give Long Islander's a break. There is so much shoreline erosion....we might not have any beaches to enjoy this summer. With their big trucks and tons of sand, the town cannot replenish what is being swept into the ocean quick enough to restore what we once called Smith Point Beach.
